The Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) just finished its fifth Open event of the 2025 season, and it was an exciting one! Teams from all over the world competed and some were crowned champions in seven different regions.
This event was a great opportunity for teams to win cash prizes, earn RLCS points, and secure their spots in the sixth Open and the upcoming RLCS Raleigh Major in June. The format was similar to previous Opens, with regional tournaments and open qualifications.
Now, let’s take a look at which teams came out on top in each region of the RLCS Raleigh Major Open 5.
In Europe, Team Dignitas won against Karmine Corp in the finals. This victory earned them $15,000 (about £11,196) and 18 RLCS Points. With this win, Dignitas secured third place, just behind Team Vitality and Karmine Corp. For Karmine, this was their second straight finals after winning Open 4.
A total of 899 teams took part in Open 5, showing how competitive the European world is.
NRG Esports dominated North America by winning both Open 4 and Open 5. Their win in Open 5 gave them $15,000 and 18 RLCS Points, bringing their total to 36 points and putting them at the top of the region.
NRG is on fire with a perfect 3-0 record in Open 6, looking strong as they head into the Raleigh Major.
Wildcard won the Oceanic Open 5, continuing their strong performances. They earned $9,000 (about £6,716) and 18 points, keeping their spot as the top team in the region.
This is their second win in a row, having also taken Open 4, which secures their place in the Raleigh Major.
FURIA won a thrilling rematch against Team Secret in the Grand Final, taking home $9,000 and 18 RLCS Points.
Both teams are now tied at the top of the South American standings with 30 points each after making back-to-back appearances in the Grand Finals.
The MENA Open 5 had almost 200 teams competing. Team Falcons showed their skills by winning 4-0 against ROC Esports in the Grand Final.
With this win and their earlier victory in Open 4, Falcons have secured their place in the Raleigh Major. Open 6 is now in progress, with teams like Twisted Minds and Al Qadsiah fighting for the second qualifying spot.
The APAC region had a low turnout with only 75 teams. However, Virtus.pro stood out by beating Movistar KOI 4-1 in the final.
This is Virtus.pro’s second win in the Raleigh cycle, giving them a total of 36 points. They are now a strong contender for the sole APAC spot at the Major.
Like APAC, the Sub-Saharan event also featured 75 teams. FUT Esports dominated every match, winning without losing a single game.
They easily defeated teams like 77Blocks and Cristobal Colon, proving to be one of the strongest winners of Open 5.
Open 6 is currently happening in several regions. Teams are competing to earn more points and secure their spots for the RLCS 2025 Raleigh Major, scheduled for June 26th to 29th.
After that, everyone will look forward to the RLCS World Championship in Lyon, France, from September 9th to 14th, where the best teams compete for global glory.
