Rocket League is shaking things up in 2025! They are introducing the RLCS Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQs), which will give four more teams a last chance to make it to the World Championship. After the regular season ends, the number of teams at Worlds will increase from 16 to 20 this fall in Lyon. The four regions with the most points; Middle East & North Africa, Europe, North America, and South America will each have one LCQ. This is a great chance for teams that narrowly missed qualifying automatically.

How LCQs Work

The top 16 teams in each region automatically qualify for the World Championship. Other teams can change their rosters for one last chance to enter the Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQs).

There are four LCQ events, one in each region, and each event gives one team a spot at the World Championship. Regions were chosen based on their performance, so stronger regions get an extra slot.

Any team can sign up for an LCQ. Players from anywhere can join any region's LCQ, allowing teams to mix players from different areas.

Important rule: Each player can only compete in one LCQ. If you play in one, you can't enter another.

The LCQ format is exciting. It starts with double-elimination brackets, then moves to Swiss groups, followed by GSL group rounds, and ends with a single-elimination bracket. Only the winner of each LCQ secures a spot in the Worlds.

LCQs Schedule

The LCQs happen in the summer, divided by region. Here’s the schedule:

  1. Region 1 – Middle East & North Africa: July 10–19
  • Preliminaries: July 10–17
  • Main event: July 18–19
  1. Region 2 – South America: July 18–27
  • Preliminaries: July 18–25
  • Main event: July 26–27
  1. Region 3 – North America: July 25–Aug 3
  • Preliminaries: July 25–Aug 1
  • Main event: Aug 2–3
  1. Region 4 – Europe: Aug 1–10
  • Preliminaries: Aug 1–8
  • Main event: Aug 9–10

All times are local for each region. These weekend events lead into the World Championship play-in stage. You can watch every LCQ live on Rocket League’s Twitch or YouTube channels. Tune in to catch the action.

Conclusion

The RLCS Last Chance Qualifiers are an exciting chance for teams to prove themselves. With teams from different regions and new formats, there will be plenty of surprises. This is the moment for players and fans alike. The journey to Lyon and the Rocket League World Championship just got more thrilling. Don’t miss the LCQs this July and August.
