The MSC 2025 has three main stages: Wildcard, Group, and Knockout. Here’s how it works step by step:
Eight teams will be divided into two groups of four. This is a double-elimination format, and every match is best-of-three. The top two teams from each group, making four teams total, will move on to the Wildcard Playoffs. This format is different from last year's round-robin style.
The four teams that survive the Wildcard Stage will compete in a single-elimination bracket. All matches will be best-of-three, except for the Wildcard Final, which is best-of-five. The winner of this bracket will secure the final spot in the main Group Stage.
Sixteen teams, including fifteen already qualified and one Wildcard winner will be divided into two groups of eight. Teams are placed in a way that no two teams from the same region are in the same group. Like the Wildcard, this stage uses a double-elimination format with best-of-three matches. At the end, the top four teams from each group (total of eight teams) advance to the Knockout Stage, while the others are eliminated.
Eight teams are left in the knockout stage, where they will face each other in a single-elimination bracket. All matches before the Grand Final are best-of-five, while the Grand Final is a best-of-seven.
